Alignment Yoga


The yoga practice is a meditation in motion, moment by moment, precisely linking asana to asana, breath by breath. Understanding that our body's innate desire is to be healthy, the practice helps us to recognize what may be impeding this flow of health.  Working with the outer form and inner experience, we restore the flow of vitality in the body; cultivate steadiness of mind and a deeper awareness of ourselves, and the beauty that surrounds us.


Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practioner group and private lessons are offered to accommodate each person's unique needs.

Class Descriptions


Group instruction offers the support and inspiration of practicing with others.   Group classes will explore a mindful approach to yoga postures, alignment, breath, meditation, and relaxation.  Drop-ins are welcome to all level and intermediate classes.  Drop-ins for the introduction to yoga series are reserved for individuals who have previously attended the 8-week series. 
 

8-Week Introduction to Yoga - Thursdays 7:15-8:15 pm

The 8-week Introduction to Yoga course is designed for beginners to build a strong foundation, in a comfortable setting, for continued growth.  Each session will explore fundamental yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques.

LEARN:
• Postures to cultivate strength and flexibility
• Ways to release tension patterns in your body
• Techniques to calm your mind and relieve stress
• How to modify the practice to fit your individual needs
• Keys to developing a home practice

Cost for the 8-week series is $85.

All Levels classes are open to participants of all levels of experience, beginners through advanced welcome. 


Intermediate classes are best for experienced yoga students, beginners that have completed the 8-week introduction to yoga course or those who have significant experience in the movement arts (such as athletes, dancers or martial artists).
